  1. Dan Dan thread the Needle:-
    Any numbers of players choose two leaders. These go aside and each chooses secretly the name of some article - fruit, flower, etc. They then join hands and the other players pass in procession under the "bridge" made by their hands saying.
    "Dan, Dan thread the Needle
    Who for for?
    Larry Luke? Larry John?
    Let them all pass by to the very last one."
    As the last one is passing through he is caught between the leaders who ask him in a whisper which he prefers of the two articles agreed upon. He says so and is put behind the leader whose article he prefers The game proceeds thus until all the players are ranged behind the two leaders. A tug o'war finishes the game.
