  1. There are many strange place names on our farm.
    These are the ones I know best.
    Cnoc Mor Mail is a big round hill.
    Camracan is a crooked fence. Failscaoi is the windy cliff.
    Crocan na Muca is the hill of the pigs. Crocan Rua is the red hill.
    Poll Rahnaigh is a big hollow where ferns are growing.
    Gleanndoirre is a flat place and there is a (flay) small hill beside it. Bearna is a gap on the hill top.
    Fish Band is a field where a band of fishers had a house.
