  1. Masshill is my native place. It is full of interesting things and places and the chief among these is the "Stiring Rock". This rock is a remarkably huge rock situated on one of the Ox Mountains just above Carraig Wood.
    It is often called "Carraig na Bogaide" which means the Stirring Rock. It can be stirred by the little finger.
    There are many strange tales told about it.
    This is a story my father told me of a pot of gold which is hidden under the rock. There is an eel lying on the pot watching the gold and a magic sword to the left side of the pot.
