  1. The Lore of Certain Days
The lucky days of the week are :- Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. People always get married on either of those days. The days for remedies are :- Tuesday, and Thursday. The lucky day of the week to begin work is Friday. People say that if you begin work on Saturday it will never be finished. The lucky day of the week for changing to a new house is Friday. The unlucky day is Monday. People also say that if you spend money on Monday you will be spending it all the days of the week.
People say if anything is born on Whit Sunday it will be cross. People plant onions on the shortest day of the year and pull the on the longest day. People sow turnips before bonfire night and they sow mangolds in March. You should have the potatoes sowed before the 1st May. If the cuckoo is out before the potatoes are sowed the potatoes are called cuckoo potatoes.
