- Another cure for the wart is to get water in a stone without looking for it and make the sign of the cross three times on the wart with the water.
If you had a mote in your eye you could get cured by Mrs. Feeney Cullens Co. Sligo. She gets a cup of water and says some prayers and the mote comes out in the cup of water.
A sty in the eye is cured by getting ten gooseberry thorns and by making the sign of the cross with nine of them on the sty and throw the tenth one away. Burn the other nine.
A cure for a bald head is got by putting on a layer of mud and bash it away for a while.
A burn is cured by rubbing boiled tea leaves to it.
A wart is also cured by getting a snail and putting him on the thorn of a blackthorn bush. When the snail would rot the wart would rot.
The cure for the headache is got by measuring the head.
The breastbone is raised by lighting a candle on the breast and(continues on next page)
