  1. About 103 years ago a man named Paddy McGee of Croagh was coming home from rambling one night when he met a man The man asked Paddy if he would accompany him on a bit of a journey to a dance. Paddy said he would go if it wasn't far "No" said the man "but if we had to walk it would be dar" "How will we go?" asked Paddy "Well" said the other I will make two ponies out of two "bólán's" and we will go like lightning" They got the ponies and they never found until they reached a lovely palace. "Now" said the other man to Paddy "one advice I give you is that when you go in you will see a font and all the boys and girls will dip their fingers in it and rub them to their eyes and if you rub it to your eyes you will lose your sight" When thy went in they saw boys and girls dressed in the best. This Paddy McGee was one of the best singers that could be found and he sang lots of songs for them At last he got tired. After a while he saw a lovely panel door open and in the doorway
