  1. Mondays and Thursdays are regarded as the only ones on which Traditional Cures are made.
    The "Crossday" of the year is locally called the "Odd Day." It is reckoned thus Christmas Day, St. Stephens Day, St. John Day, and the "Odd Day." Whatever day of the week it may chance to fall is the "Odd Day" for the new Year. No one who is superstitious will undertake any important business such as flitting from one house to another, an important journey, getting married, opening new establishments or the like.
