  1. There is supposed to have been a teasure hidden under an old house in the townland of Patch. Once upon a time an old king put it there when he was leaving the country. He got it from the Danes.
    Several people dreamt about the treasure, but when they would go to look for it they would get afraid when they would see an old man with a long whisker minding the treasure. Other people have often seen an old man near that place after twelve o'clock in the night.
    The treasure consists of an iron barrel full of gold. It is supposed that the wall of the house is built on the barrel.
