  1. Once a man named John Harne lived in the Glen. He was the best basket maker that could be found. He could weave a dozen baskets in the day.
    First he boiled the rods in a big pot until they got soft. Then he let them cool. He could peel the skin off them with his fingers. He could make lovely white baskets. He made egg baskets and clothes baskets.
