    Tuesday the people put ashes on their heads. Holy Thursday is the day before Good Friday and Easter Saturday is the day after Good Friday and the day before Easter Sunday and on these days there are fasts. On Easter Monday the children have feasts and they eat plenty of eggs.
    On May eve the people put mayflowers on the house to keep away the fairies. On Hallowe'en night the children eat nuts and play games. On the 23rd. June the people light bog bonfires. On Christmas Day the people commemorate the birth of our Lord.
