    Houses were more numerous in former times.There are only the ruins of two houses in my district. People emigrated to America in former years. The townland is not mentioned in any song. The land of this district is both hilly boggy and good. There is no wood growing on it. There are no lakes but plenty of streams and one river called Dunbeakin River.
