    With trousers folded to the knee.
    He passed the [?] pace,
    He seized old Fanny by the tail
    And then fell into space.
    Then Noble seeing he has failed
    Resolved to have a limp;
    He made a dash - and with a crash
    His heels went towards the sky,
    A heavy fog then coming on
    Their steps they turned aside,
    A bee-hive straight for Michael's -
    With Noble acting guide.
    And when nearing Michael's cottage
    Fair Fanny they did spy.
    "A jug of buttermilk" said Hunt
    Our innards are so dry."
    A pleased hour on the bank
    The day was quickly passed.
    They said Goodbye to Fanny dear,
    And made for home at last.
