    than words - it was nearly all action with a few commanding words &as nearly every flock has a black sheep - someone told the English authority (Fenton of Castletown, Easkey) that they were getting pikes made & this man was well informed who made the pikes & spears & sent for him at once & questioned him - Our hero said, "Yes, I made both."
    "Well," said this officer (Fenton), "Only that I respect the truth I would hang you now." "Straight business," said out hero,
    "you say you will hang me & others will kill me if they don't have pikes and spears." There were no aeroplanes in those days but he flew from both parties - After getting clear of any "Carey" work (spies) our genius wandered through the mountains with his dog.
    Observing a lake with an island upon it he consulted himself & said to himself that if he could get on that island it would be a new Jerusalem to him & divesting
