He locked the horse in a stable - & gave him neither to eat nor drink. He then went into his house to have his dinner. He ordered the servants that on no account were they to go near the stable -
While the Master was at his dinner a servant girl came into the yard with a pail of water. The horse asked her for a drink - but she said she had been ordered to give him neither food nor drink.
He then asked her to throw a few drops of the water under his door & the Master would never notice it & would never know about it. She took pity on the horse & threw a few drops of the water under the door & went off. This was all the horse wanted. He changed himself into an eel, wriggled out under the door - then changed(continues on next page)- Collector
