a King. "We will never be able to eat all this," said the man. "Better invite our neighbour who is working in the next field." He bade the boy to go for him. The neighbour happened to be the wife's lover. Before going the boy happened to abstract from the basket a number of boiled eggs, & as he went towards where the man was working he dropped them one by one. When he reached the man he talked to him but did not invite him to the dinner. After a little he returned & said that the man refused to come on his invitation, but if the farmer, himself, went - he would come. "All right", said the farmer & off he set. On the way he saw the eggs & he picked them up one by one as he went. The young man seeing him stoop down & pick up the eggs thought that he was picking up stones & that he meant to attack him. (result of a guilty conscience) He fled as fast as he could leaving his horses after him. The farmer returned to his own field & seemed puzzled to know why the young man had run away.
