    Soon the song was in the mouths of all in the neighbourhood & its title was Túirne Mháire.

    A common expression in the West is - "If you do - or do not do - such a thing you will get "Túirne Mháire." which means probably a punishment equivalent to that which was meted out to the boys by the song.
