    ate & drank enough. Then the little dog asked him what he intended to make -The boy told him the whole story about the princess & the ship & how his two brothers had failed. "Well" said the little dog, "I'll go along with you & help you to make it" So they both set off for the wood & at the end of a week the ship was ready.
    The rest of the story is the same as that given on Page 117 with this exception - that Hardy A - was not asked to flatten out the King's palace but to flatten a hill instead - The man who was seen eating the turnips was asked to eat all the stone walls round the palace. There was a new man taken into the ship who was not mentioned in the first version - He was found drinking up the water out of a lake - The youngest son was asked to dry up a lake near the palace & this man did
