  1. When the wind blows from the "Windy Gap" we can very often expect wet weather. When the wind blows from the Easkey direction and we see rainbows in the early morning we can expect wet weather. When the wind blows from the "Teeling Lighthouse" we can always expect dry, cold weather. When the wind blows from "Cnoc a croise" we can expect fine weather. When the sky seems low and filled with black clouds we know that rain is near. When the sky is red at night it is the sign of high wind. When the moon rises pale and a ring around it we expect wet weather.
    When the Ox Mountains look far away and of a greyish blue colour it is the sign of fine weather. But when they look near with a fog coming in from Tubbercurry across them going towards the sea and a
