    One day he went to the fair and she searched every place about the house and could not find it until one of the children told her it was in the stack of corn. She got it there and as soon as she did she put it on her and brought her three children down to the sea. There she struck them with her wand and changed them into three stones. The stones may be seen near the mermaid's table and chair at Ceann na Searrach. She went into the sea and was not seen since by anyone in the district.
