- Folklore- MermaidLong, long ago a man went to the sea and he saw a woman dressed in red, sitting on a stone. He went over to her and he took the cloak from her. Then she went home with him and they got married. They had five children and as this man knew that his wife was a mermaid, he hid her cloak in a stack of oats. One of the children saw the father hiding the cloak and he told his mother. She went and got the cloak and she ran away to the sea and she changed her five children into five stones
