- We have St. Patrick's Day on the 17th March and on that day Mass is said. The men wear shamrock in their hats, and the women and girls wear green ribbons or badges on their right shoulders. The people here in Ireland send shamrock to their friends in America, and they are very thankful to get it, as it puts them in mind of Ireland. On St. Patrick's Day the people have processions, and if there was a difference in the football beforehand, it is settled on that day.
