  1. Leaffoney is a district in the parish of Kilglass which was settled by Protestants and this is a story about some of them.
    There was a man who owned three farms in Leaffoney. His name was James Gredd. He was amrried, and his wife's name was Mary Woods.
    Mary Woods had a brother int he English army, and he held a high position in it.
    James Gregg has very good land, and he manured it by sinking a pit in the end of each field, and taking up gravel, and spreading it on the land, from which he had great crops.
    After some time Gregg's brother in law came home from the army and lived with him.
    There was a soldier-comrade of Captain Woods who lived in Leaffoney House, named Lowe, and he was
