    Once upon a time there lived a strong mand in Co. Mayo and another strong man in Co. Sligo.

    Once upon a time there lived a strong man in Co. Mayo and another strong man in Co. Sligo. One day the Co. Sligo man met the Co. Mayo man.
    "I am stronger than you" said the Co. Sligo man. "Well" said the Co Mayo man, "we'll see".
    "Come to my house tomorrow".
    "All right" said the Co Sligo man.
    To-morrow came and the two men met to- gether. Then the Co Mayo man brought the Co Sligo man to Crossmolina. "Now" said the Mayo man "let me see how far you can throw that stone". But the Sligo man could not stir it. Then the Mayo man got it and threw it down into (Anach Bán)
