Tradition tells us of the song known as the "Cadín deas crúara na mbó" is cured for the reason of delaying a priest from a patient to whom he was going to prepare or the last sacrament.
As the priest was crossing a certain house the above song was sung inside. The priest could not pass without listening to the beautiful voice. When it ended he entered the house where he found to his great surprise only a dog sitting on the floor.
He went on his way and found that his patient was dead. The priest annoyed and cursed the song as it was the cause of delaying him on his duty.
