    the farm as before.
    After being cured of her disease she thanked Saint Michael for the favour she received and erected the beautiful statue which is now there. It is a shameful thing to say that a raid was made on the statue at this well by school girls. These girls took the money which the visitors left at the well and broke the statue which is in great need of repair now. This statue was erected in September 1923 and when the work was completed it had cost this good woman five pounds.
    She still lives at Gortinare, Gortinare but is now very feeble, being over eighty years of age
