In the locality in which I live all the people grow the potato-crop.
My father sets potatoes each year. He sets about an acre of potatoes each year. One year he had on by half-an-acre under potatoes and the next year he increased this by another half-acre. My father prepares the ground. The first thing he does is to spread sand on the garden. He leaves it so for a month until he sand soaks down through the land. Then he gets a plough and the ploughs the ground twice. Then he leaves the ground so for a month and then he harrow sit and this makes the ground, fine and soft. He ploughs it again and after that he makes the drills. Then he spreads farmyard manure between the drills and he then puts
