There is a man living in my district whose name is Patrick McCarthy. He is the best man I know for riddles. When he meets you on the road he will not salute you but give you a riddle and demand you to solve it. These are some of the riddles I heard him give.
As I went to London I saw a great wonder,
Two pots boiling and no fire under.
Answer.Two spring wells. (Why)
Why do we carry an umbrella?
Answer: Because it cannot walk.
What has a head and no face?
Answer. A match.
Why is a bad pen like an angry cat?
Answer. Because it scratches.
