  1. Deaths and Funerals: -
The last person leaving the church after a funeral was supposed to be the next one to die, so that in olden days it was amusing to see the people rushing from the church.
If you meet a funeral on the road, turn round and walk three steps with it.
A grave is never opened on Monday, if the person has to be buried on Monday the grave is reddened on Sunday.
Never clean your shoes in the churchyard.
Never wear new clothes for the first time at a funeral.
Never go to see a sick person on your way to or from a funeral.
