  1. Long ago the old people ate three meals. They had potatoes for the breakfast, dinner and supper. They sometimes had a pot of yellow meal porridge at night. Thick milk was the only milk they had. In the winter when they had no milk they made flour dip to have with the potatoes.
    They worked two hours before they got their breakfast. The table was placed in the middle of the floor. The bread was made of yellow meal and thick milk and baked in a griddle. They did not eat much bacon. When cutting the
