- The are several days in the week which are thought lucky or un lucky. Monday and Thursday are thought un lucky and the rest are thought to be lucky. If one was born on the first of April they would say he was a fool. Another date is the 25th of March, it is a lucky date. If a person saw a man going by the road on a grey horse they would ask them what was the cure for the flu. If one went by the road with a black ass he would give you a cure for plucamus. There are certain days in which people do not want to begin any work. They never begin ploughing on a Saturday because they say you would be at it for a year. Saturday is the only day if you started a job you would be at it for the year. If one started a job any other day of the week there would not be anything said about it. There are not any cross-days known in the district. There does not be any customs attached it. People should set potatoes on the first of March and not later than(continues on next page)
