  1. My Home District

I live in the townland of Tarmons in the Parish of Tarbert and in the barony of Iraghticonnor.

I live in the townland of Tarmons in the Parish of Tarbert and in the barony of Iraghticonnor. There are 57 families in Tarmons. The approximate number of people in the townland is 269. The family name most common is Kissane. The kind of houses that were there long ago were thatched houses. Tarmons got its name because people used to go there for safety. There are 15 old people in Tarmons. I do not know are they able to tell stories. I never heard them talk Irish. Houses were not as numerous long ago as they are now. There are not many houses in ruins.
