  1. Reenturk is a townland in Tarbert Parish. It consists of one big farm. Our school is situated in Reenturk. The word Reenturk springs from a wild boar which came into the point long ago. Reen means a point and turk means a boar. Reenturk is situated on the left bank of the River Shannon.
