    6. Cob-webs were used for stopping blood.
    7. Carrageen Moss is boiled with lemons and used for coughs and colds.
    8. Bleeding from the nose was stopped by tying woollen thread around the small fingers.
    9. There is a Blessed Well called Saint John's well in Asdee, about three miles from Ballylongford, and people go there certain Saturdays of the year. It is supposed to cure sore eyes and other pains.
    10. Sand is used for the sting of a bee.
    11. A very useful herb is the dandelion, it is boiled and people drink a juice of it for colds.
    12. If a dog licked a sore foot or a sore hand it would get better.
