  1. A Landlord Story
    Many stories are told about Mr. Hickey, a landlord who owned a considerable share of property near and around Ballylongford, and who was resident at Kilelton House on the banks of the Shannon.
    I have heard my mother say that she was told by her father who lived near the house of Mr. Hickey, that her- her father - could not keep a dog lest his bark might disturb the slumbers of "The Master".
