    May Eve
    The following story was told to me by my father some years ago, and old woman named Mrs. Hunt of Tullihimell, two miles from the village of Ballylongford went visiting a neighbor's house one May Eve. The neighbor's house was built in a field some hundred yards from the public road. A bye road, led through the public road to it.
    It was half past eleven that night when she started for home. She went along the bye road towards the public road. She knew this road quite well, as she was used to
