- The old people had their on cures. When they got a cut they twisted a cobweb around it to stp from bleeding. For a burn that was not healing their cure was to shake ashes out of a pipe over it. They cured a tooth ache by putting soot into it, and also by putting the tail of a frog into their mouth until the pain was relieved. They also cured cuts by washing them in salt. They cured very bads cuts with a piece of a burned blanket shaken over them.
