- (continued from previous page)appeared to him again. She told him she was a mermaid and that he had her ring and she could not go back to the sea without it. He hid the ring in a hole in the wall. One day they were to have a station and they were working near the place where the ring was in hide. The ring fell out on the floor. When she saw the ring she laughed as loud as she could and went off and they never saw her after.
- Once upon a time a man died. Previous to his death he put three crocks of gold under a flag outside his dwelling door. He then fell ill and died without giving any information to his people where the gold was hidden. After his burial(continues on next page)
