  1. Geremiah Connor was a strong man. It is said that one day as he was coming home from Ballybunion with a load of sand the wheel of his car fell out. There was no one coming to help him. He decided to put it in himself. He caught the axle of the car with his teeth and lifted it off the road and put in the wheel with his hands.
