  1. Long ago there lived a man (by the name of Cofflin) and his family. His daughter Nance Cofflin, went to a well near by to get water. One evening when she had filled the bucket she heard beautiful music in a fort near by and she began to dance to the music. Her mother wondered what was keeping her for Nance knew she was waiting for the water. After a long time her father went out and saw her dancing beside the well. He called his wife out to see her. They called her three times and got no answer. Then
