  1. About two miles to the north of Ballybunion there is ahold ruin of a castle which is called "Lic Castle". In the strand above this castle a litter of bonhams and a sow, all made of gold, were found by a man called Mr. Langford. It is said that burglars who were hiding in the caves left them there. Some folks say that Mr. Langford gave all this treasure to the government. This was over two hundred years ago.
