    1. Seon Byrnes, exceptionally strong man - native of Duagh, but related to Byrnes, Faha - often visited there -
    2. It is related that women of locality used to walk to Tralee with "cleeve" of eggs.
    Jerry Carthy took mule and car to beyond Killarney, mule broke away when being taken from car - made for home - Jerry followed him on foot and arrived soon after the mule.
    3. Swimmers - Danniel Sullivan - Teacher, Ahafona School - Mr. Coffey of Beale I, native of west Kerry, and Fr. Murphy, a priest stationed here at that time - powerful swimmers - used to swim from Black Rocks to Dannieleen's Rock and back.
    4. Moorín, famous dancing master of old times - also wonderful whistler.
