  1. Once upon a time there were two Protestant girls living in a house, and a Catholic man came in, for it was Christmas night.
    They were talking about the water being changed into wine, and the girls would not believe it, so they said that they would stay up that night to see what might happen.
    The man said not to do it, and they did not obey him. The man went home, and thought no more about the two girls. They went to where the water was kept, and watched the water, so when the man visited the house next time, he found the
