    him asking him for work. The man said that he had no jobs for him at present, but to mind his pot of gold for him. The little man was very thankful, and he went away in the lonely places minding his gold, and the stool he had was an old "pooka pail". He was not long there when the man came and told him that he was dying, and that he could keep the pot of gold. The man died, and the little man kept the pot of gold, and that is how the first Leprechaun came.
