    "Ballybunion by the Sea"
    With their ceaseless roar by the cliff-bound shore,While the white-crested waves glide along;
    The waters glisten, you stand and listen,
    In pensive mood to their lonely song
    Then wander round the historic ground,
    To the varied scenes from nature's hand;
    From the rock and cave where the waters lave,
    Or dreamingly lie on Lazy Land"
    From the old Black-rocks to the sand hill's walks,
    Whilst the murmuring waves tell the story;
    Or enraptured you gaze on the sun o'er the waves,
    Ere he sinks to the ocean in glory.
    With her golden comb by the feathery foam,
    Hear the mermaid- who's lay is enchanting;
    Flee from the sound, ere you've lost in the round
    Of the treachurous wave fast advancing.
    There is a magic well with a "fairies' spell",
    Where the wild thyme grows on Knock-an-0ve;
    If you danger life in flood or strife,
