    "A man astray" then someone went to his relief and conducted him home.
    A person astray generally turned his coat, it being then supposed that the charm was broken.
    There was also a belief in "Wild Cats". In certain districts it was supposed they congregated and started crying as if to draw certain people around them and so get a chance of fighting and scraping them.
    I myself knew a man was afraid to go out after dark lest the wild cats should attack him.
    In this district yet (Gortermone and Carrigallen) there is a belief in the "Bean Shee". It is supposed that she wails, plainly to be heard, three nights in succession before the death of a member of certain families such
