    On another occasion there was a man Paddy O' Reilly who lived in Co. Cavan. He joined the French in "Ninety Eight". After the battle of Ballinamuch he escaped to Rossan where he was capture by a man named George Nicholls; this man left another man named Isaac to hold Reilly until he
    could get shooting him. When he went to shoot him Reilly gave Williams a pull and put him before the bullet. Then Rielly ran his best to Corriga where he was captured by another batch of yeomen and was shot; there was a song composed and this is some of it.
    "The groves of Killeshandra no more they'll
    grow green.
    Nor the warbling thrushes no more
    they will sing
    Nor the trout in bough Oughter no more
    they will spaun.
    Since the downfall of Reilly called
    Paddy Seán Bán"
    "Where are the stout heroes that would me regain.
