- (continued from previous page)There is a dog guarding this fort. This dog was often seen when people were coming home late at night.
- St. Mogue was born on Inch Island. It was an a snowy morning that he was born. On that morning a man lost some cattle and he traced their foot-steps backways as far as the shore.When he reached the shore a man shouted from the Island and the other man asked him did anything wonderful happen last - night and the man said there was a child born last-night and the man asked him was the child christened and he said no.So St. Mogue's father said that there was a flag on the other side of the Island and to give it a push and it would float over to him and he would put the child on it and send it out to him. So the child was baptized and sent back on the same flag to its father's place and it was cristened Mogue.Afterwards the flag was used for bringing corpse over to the island. to be buried. Only two people could go over with the corpse and any two that would be going out on this flag would want to have great belief in St. Mogue. So one day a boy and a girl(continues on next page)
