  1. Once upon a time there lived an old woman whose name was Mary Hamilton. The old woman used to travel the roads. She had no home or house. She used to sleep in old haunted houses and graveyards.
    One night as she was going into a haunted house a scene came before her eyes. There was a big fire lit in the house and a number of people sitting around it.
    The people called her by her name. But when she went to speak she was silent.
    She went over to the people and they offered her a seat. She looked at them but they were like people who were dead.
    Suddenly a man stood up and said ''there is a man in the field cutting
