  1. (continued from previous page)
    The brutal murder passed undetected
    For six long weeks and a few days more,
    Till the charge was laid to his own housekeeper,
    Convenient to the town of Ballinamore.
    It would grieve the heart of the greatest viper
    To see his reverence laid overground;
    For he was raised and opened by special order,
    And, in his stomach, the poison found.
    It would be my desire
    To see this imp expire
    In the flames of fire
    For such villainy.
    Or, in Pluto's cell,
    For her to dwell
    And the wretch to yell
    There in misery.
