There was land in Drumcroman and the man to whom it belonged refused to pay the heavy rent that was on it. The landlord took it from him. This day the landlord came with a small force of men to make a ditch round the land and a few police with guns to protect them.They had the ditch made a few yards long when they saw men running in every direction.
They knew there was something wrong.About an hour later they saw a large force of men coming towards them.
